Carol "Swift-waters" Johnson
Sharing Mohegan tribal culture to others brings Carol great pride and joy. Teaching not only to the young tribal members, but to all that are willing to sit, listen. Born of a strong family lineage, Carol is the great granddaughter of Mohegan Chief Matahga. She is also known as "Swift waters", which is her given Native tribal name.
Carol travels through out Indian Country in the United States and Canada attending many Pow Wows and other cultural events. Carol is also a Women’s Traditional Dancer, and is a arts and crafts vendor director for the Mohegan wigwam powwow, her tribes annual cultural event.
